UPDATE 20 Nov 23 - Cancelled / Deferred Due to forecast poor weather this week(end) & will be rescheduled for summer 2024.
THIS IS A WEEKDAY OVERNIGHT RIDE
Join the Club for an overnight camp to Yerranderie Regional Park (managed by NSWNPWS) an old abandoned silver mining town 90km off the Taralga-Oberon Road. Google Route Map.
Access into Yerranderie is 4WD with some shallow creek crossings and road maintained (not) by NSW National Parks but not requiring any special skills but tyres with some offroad capability is preferable. We are going in summer so fire bans and park closures are a possibility.
Yerranderie Town Camp has pre-registered campsites at $6 for max 6 people. Gold coins will be collect en-route to cover the campsite bookings. The ride is subject to campsites being available, so pre-register and an email will be sent to registrants 3 days before the ride to confirm.
This is a BYO Thursday lunch, dinner & Friday breakfast/snacks and tent camp. NSWNPWS provide the grass, showers, toilets & picnic table. The LAST fuel and food is Crookwell and its 157km to Yerranderie and 100km back out to Oberon or 157km to Crookwell for fuel.
This ride will depart at 0930 from The Baker @ Sutton for coffee, so fill up or have enough fuel to get to Crookwell.
